GSA 8(a) STARS III

i3, through our Joint Venture (BrightPoint), is a prime holder of (GSA) 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resource for Services (STARS) III Small Business Government-Wide Acquisition (GWAC).  8(a) STARS III has been designated as a Best-in-Class contract vehicle by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). With a ceiling of $50 billion, 8(a) STARS III builds upon the framework of 8(a) STARS II and expands capabilities for emerging technologies and outside the continental United States (OCONUS) requirements. The scope of 8(a) STARS III is centered on North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 541512 but may include other NAICS codes that are predominately IT services. These may include, but are not limited to, 541511, 541513, 541519, and 518210. The contract offers IT services ranging from simple to complex and services-based solutions such as IT help-desk support, information assurance, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more.

  • Small Business Credits:  Federal agencies can receive small-disadvantaged business (SDB) credit with each 8(a) contract they award.

  • Pre-vetted Vendors: Pre-competed, easy-to-use contract with streamlined ordering procedures based on FAR 16.505. Saves time and money by reducing procurement lead time and reduces risk with pre-vetted vendors.

  • Protest Protection: No protests on orders under $10M, except on the grounds that the order increases the scope, period, or maximum value of the GWAC. Minimizes protest risk and supports timely order award for optimal mission support.
